Our story
Hello, we're Maggie and Eli, the founders of Mellow Tallow!
Mellow Tallow started as a high school business project in 2025, but it became way more than that.
Our shared dilemma of dry, sensitive, eczema-prone skin drove us to find skincare products that actually worked and won't break the bank.
Along the way, we found something we didn't expect — a love for our local community, and the honest, real conversations we get to have with the people we sell to.
Because finding good skincare doesn't have to be an exhausting task.
Why tallow?
Tallow is made from the excess fat from animals (we use cattle) that would have been thrown away and creating more strain on the environment. The fat is rendered until purified, ready to use for skincare making.
Tallow contains lots of goodies, including:
- Vitamins A, D, E, K.
- Mimics our skin’s natural oils.
- Supports skin barrier repair.
- Hydrating and soothing.
- Perfect for dry, sensitive skin.
